    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: 3 August 2026

This policy explains how Block Pulse Talent (“we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data when you use this website or engage with us as a candidate or client.

Who we are and how to contact us

Block Pulse Talent is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Our offices are at One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London E14 5AA, United Kingdom, and Office 2008, Iris Bay Tower, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. All privacy enquiries and data-rights requests should be sent to info@blockpulsetalent.com.

    Data we collect

    • Candidate data: name, email address, location, current position, specialist area, CV content and any information you choose to send us.
    • Client data: name, company, work email, location and details of your hiring requirement.
    • Technical data: limited server and security logs generated when you use the site.

    Where we obtain candidate data

Most candidate data is provided directly by you when you submit your profile or speak with us. We may also obtain limited professional information from sources that are publicly available or professionally accessible, such as professional networking profiles, specialist industry directories, published research or conference material, and referrals from people in our network. Where we obtain your data indirectly, we will tell you what we hold and why within one month of obtaining it, or at the point we first contact you if that is sooner.

    How we use it

    • To assess suitability for specific roles and to represent candidates to prospective employers, with explicit permission for each introduction.
    • To respond to hiring enquiries and deliver recruitment services.
    • To maintain records required for legitimate business and legal purposes.

    Lawful basis and consent

We process candidate data on the basis of the consent you give when submitting your profile, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing specialist recruitment services where we contact professionals about relevant opportunities. We process client data on the basis of legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and performing our agreement with you.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by emailing info@blockpulsetalent.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal, and we will delete your data unless we are legally required to retain it.

    Sharing and service providers

We never share a candidate’s CV or details with a firm without that candidate’s explicit permission for that specific opportunity. We do not sell personal data. Aside from prospective employers you have approved, personal data may be handled by the following categories of service provider, acting only on our instructions:

    • Cloud hosting and database providers (website hosting, form handling and file storage).
    • Email delivery providers used to transmit enquiries and CVs to us.
    • Professional advisers where required for legal or accounting purposes.

    International transfers

We operate from the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, and our service providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses with the receiving party. You can request details of the safeguards applied to a specific transfer by emailing info@blockpulsetalent.com.

    Security and retention

CVs are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in private, access-controlled storage. Access links used internally are time-limited.

We retain personal data according to the following criteria:

    • Candidate records are retained for as long as your profile remains relevant to the specialist markets we cover, and are reviewed at least every two years; records that are no longer relevant, or where you ask us to stop, are deleted.
    • Records relating to a completed placement are retained for as long as required to meet contractual, tax and legal obligations.
    • Client enquiry records are retained for the duration of the relationship and a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes.
    • Website security and server logs are retained only for a short operational period.

    Market Intelligence briefing

If you subscribe to the Market Intelligence briefing, we store the email address you provide, your first name where you supply it, and a record of your consent and the date it was given. We process this data on the basis of your consent, hold it separately from candidate CV submissions and use it only to send the briefing.

We do not share subscriber details with clients or any third party for marketing purposes. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@blockpulsetalent.com, and we will remove your details from the list.

    Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Every shortlisting decision is made by a person.

    Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or request a copy of the data you provided in a portable format. Email info@blockpulsetalent.com and we will respond within one month, which may be extended by a further two months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you.

    Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, by telephone on 0303 123 1113, or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

    Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above indicates the latest revision.
